Helen Eloise Miller was born April 9, 1940 to Edna and Vince Lane, Huntington, OR, where she was raised and graduated from high school.

 

Helen was a true beauty queen and athlete. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi.

 

In 1958 she met and married Bob Gerdes of Caldwell where they resided and raised two children Kelly and Ben.

 

After her divorce from Bob, she met and married Richard "Dick” Miller and resided in Boise until they moved to Eagle where she was a member of The Women's Golf Assoc., calling Shadow Valley her home course.

 

She also worked at Seven Oaks Elementary as a "lunch lady". Helen's passion was children and feeding people. Helen and Dick finally retired to the Oregon Coast at Bella Beach, in Depoe Bay. 

 

Helen went home to the Lord on August 6, 2024.

 

She is survived by her husband, Dick; children, Kelly Nahas and Ben Gerdes; grandchildren: Jami Valentine and Grant Rapacon; great-grandchildren: Devin and Porter Farley; a great-great- granddaughter, Paisley.

 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Rd. in Meridian on Monday August 19th at 11 AM, the Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 10 AM. Private interment will be at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.  Services are under the care of Accent Funeral Home and Cremation, Meridian.
