Jimmy Lewis Braddock, 84, died Sunday August 11, 2024 in Lihue, Hawaii. He was a veteran having served his country honorably in the US Army Special Forces. He retired as a Major after serving 20 years. He received a Purple Heart Medal, Silver Star and Bronze Star Medals.
He is preceeded in death by his Father, James Calvin Braddock, his Mother, Willie Mae Clewis Braddock, his step-son, Robert Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Lucretia Mae Braddock, three children, Bruce & Erika Braddock, Jeffrey and Rosanna Braddock, Jennifer. and Andrew Wiederrecht, two step-children, Shannon and Manuel Lopez, Gigi Taylor, His sister, Helen and Floyd Smith, his brother Rev. Daniel and Frances Braddock, his brother Samuel and Peggy Braddock, Nine Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and numerous neices, nephews and cousins.
After retiring he became a Real Estate Broker, and later he became the South East Regional Sales Manager for National R.V., Inc.
His favorite hobbies were restoring VW’s and antique cars, golfing, traveling and spending time with family. He was a Master Mason, & Shriner.
He attended St. Sebastian’s by the Sea Episcopal Church and participated in various activities.
The family will receive friends and relatives at St. Sebastian’s by the Sea Episcopal Church, 2010 Oak Street, Melbourne Beach, FL on September 11, 2024, from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 am. Burial with Military Honors will be held 1:30 pm following the service at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 Hwy 1, Mims, FL 32754.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Sebastian’s by the Sea Episcopal Church, 2010 Oak Street, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951
