Hailey Kathleen Sherman, 37, of Fort Atkinson was called to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

She was the loving mother of Kealy, Noah, and Kash and fiancé to Pavel Jelinek of Fort Atkinson. Hailey was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on March 30, 1987 to Lon Sherman and Tracey Keller, both of Fort Atkinson.  She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 2005.  Hailey worked seventeen years at Culver’s in Fort Atkinson working her way up to General Manager.  She dedicated herself to her job and the community she served.  Her ability to be the voice of reason in difficult situations was one of her many gifts.

She will be remembered most for her big, beautiful smile that lit up any room she entered.  Hailey enjoyed camping trips, going out for a good meal, quiet family time, and cooking up old family recipes.  She was quiet and caring.  Hailey absolutely loved being in or near the water and would bury her toes in the sand whenever she could.

She will be deeply missed by her fiancé, Pavel Jelinek; three children, Kealy, Noah, and Kash; parents, Lon (Vickie) Sherman and Tracey (Mike Malthauf) Ward all of Fort Atkinson; brothers, John Honstein of Norco, California, Seth Ward of Monona, Matthew (Julie) Sherman of Corona, California, and Mark (Samantha) Sherman of Fort Atkinson; sisters, Shelby Keller of Johnson Creek, and Danielle (Sam Averill) of Whitewater; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Sherman of Hutchinson, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and other extended family.

Hailey is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Gladys (Tyler) Keller; paternal grandfather, Laurence Sherman; and step-grandmother, Vera Olson.  She was welcomed to her heavenly home by many aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

A celebration of life will take place at 12PM on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Nitardy Funeral Home in Fort Atkinson.  A memorial visitation will take place from 9AM until the time of service.

Nitardy Funeral Homes - Fort Atkinson

We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community for over 90 years, when Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. In 1984, his son Russ knew it was time to offer professional, compassionate services to the Fort Atkinson community, and we constructed a new funeral home to address its needs. We feel so fortunate to be a part of the community, and have grown our family alongside the community for three generations....
