Miguel Angel Salas
November 6th, 1952 - September 7th, 2024
Miguel passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at the age of 71, he was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Michoacán, Mexico, he immigrated to the United States as a teenager seeking a better life for his family. Miguel was a dedicated United Farm Workers Advocate. He instilled values of hard work, perseverance, and compassion in his children. His love for Soccer was a lifelong passion, from playing in his younger years to coaching his son’s and other children's teams. Watching the soccer matches on TV is what helped him cope during the last stage of his chronic illness.Miguel is survived by his wife, Teresa; his four children, Anabel (Braulio), Josephine (Cesar), Miguel A. Jr., and Luis A., ten grandchildren, Denise, Jesse, David Jr., Jacob, Vanessa, Jonathan, Alec, Cesar Jr., Michael, and Zachary. Two great grandchildren Genesis and David III. His mother, Josefina Salas, and siblings Guillermina, Gabriel Jr., Oralia, Juan M., Juan G., Jorge, and Octavio Salas. He was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel Sr., his brother Tony, and his nephew Jose (Pepe) Salas.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
