Gloria Marie Cappello
November 27th, 1936 - September 15th, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce on Sunday, September 15" 2024, Gloria Marie Cappello was called home to heaven at the age of 87. Gloria was born on November 27, 1936, in Clovis, NM to Salomon and Mela Lucero. Gloria met the love of her life and beloved Vince Cappello of 70 years, planted their roots in Albuquerque, NM where they raised their family until their passing. Gloria was known for her honesty, and unwavering sense of self, she loved God, her husband, and her family.
She was a collector of arts, especially Thomas Kincaid, which she proudly displayed in her home, enjoyed exercising, traveling, baseball, and going to church. Gloria also loved music, shopping, makeup, jewelry, getting her hair and nails done, and browsing arts and craft shows in her free time. Above all else, Gloria cherished her time with her husband, Vince, she was his Queen, and they spent most of their time laughing and smiling together.
Preceded in joining the Lord: Mother & Father, Salomon & Mela Lucero, Husband, Vince Cappello, Siblings; Phillip, Salvano, & John Cruz Lucero, and Grandson, Daniel Cappello.
Survived by her children: daughter Gloria Jean & husband Michael Jaramillo, sons Danny & wife Vicki Cappello, and Donald & wife Hannah Cappello. Grandchildren: Jason & wife Jill Jaramillo, Lucas Jaramillo, Jordan & wife Veronica Cappello, Joshua & wife Rebecca Cappello, Solana & husband Deven Nelson, Elijah Cappello, Trina & husband Gerry Martinez, and Nathan Cappello. Great Grandchildren: Alexya Cappello, Damien, Brayden, & Ariella Cappello, Sophia & Joshua Cappello, Cruz Nelson, Tierra & Davien Rice. Sisters: Ruby Marquez, Grace Martinez, & Esther Sandoval. Brother: Robert & wife Betty Lucero and several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday October 7, 2024 at Riverside Funeral Home located in Albuquerque, at 225 San Mateo Blvd at 10 AM, flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
Following the services she will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2PM.
