Thomas George

Age 89. Born July 17, 1935, in Grand Forks, ND. Passed away peacefully with family on October 9, 2024. Preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Evelyn Brown, sister, Jacquolyn Swenson. Survived by his loving wife Vonda of 64 years; daughter Carmela (David) Kranz, Minneapolis, and son Thomas (Katie) Brown, Eden Prairie; 6 grandchildren, Andrew Kranz (Marne Gerdes), Minneapolis, Ellen Kranz, Austin, TX, Rachel Kranz, Minneapolis, Samantha, Tyler, and Mitchell Brown, Eden Prairie.

Graduate of UND and UW-River Falls. Served in the United States Army. Taught school in Exeter, CA, and the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District. Longtime member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Loved his family, sports, and traveling.

The family would like to thank Lifespark Hospice and the Boulder Ponds Memory Care staff for their invaluable support and care.

Tom’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 2410 Stillwater Rd., Maplewood, MN. Visitation from 9:30-11am, Service at 11am, with a luncheon following.
