Joyce Muriel (Crampton) Klaus, 91, passed away on October 12, 2024. She was born on June 28, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Esther Anna( Sommerfield) Crampton and John Bennett Crampton. She was raised by her maternal grandparents for her first 15 years. After her grandfather died in 1948 she went to live with her mother and stepfather in Houston, Texas. Joyce graduated from Milby Highschool in Houston in 1951. Most of her working life was spent in the banking industry, where she rose to chief bookkeeper status. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert William Klaus, and children Kenneth Walter Oadra and Thomas Edward Oadra. She is survived by children Teresa Suzanne (Taggart) Huff (Robert Allen Huff), Milton Earl "Buck" Taggart Jr., Sharon Jane (Taggart) Garcia and Brenda Joyce (Nelson) Smith (Scott E. Smith). She is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joyce will be interred at Fairview Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 11:00AM.
