Eddie Wayne Portwood

Eddie Wayne Portwood, “G Daddy”, 77, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, in Lexington, KY. He was born on November 13, 1946, to the late Armon and Virginia Portwood.  Eddie was a veteran with the Kentucky National Guard and worked as an Electrician for IBEW for many years.  He is survived by two daughters, Kim (Gary) Rose, Versailles, KY and Kelly (Mike)Turner, Versailles, his son, Armon (Chris) Portwood, Georgetown, KY; stepdaughter, Carole (Hunt) Calvert, Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Lizzie Rose, Katie Rose, Chelsea (Asia Burleson) Rose, Josie Turner, Riley Turner, Jacob Turner, Will Turner, Hayleigh Calvert, Andrew Calvert; great-grandchildren, Dylan Lay, Colby Lay and Ryan Lay; sister in law, Audrey (Tom) Francis, Shelbyville, KY.   He is preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Portwood and his second wife, Connie Portwood; three grandchildren, Ryan Turner, Michael Portwood and Christopher Lay.  A gathering of family and friends will be 3pm-5pm Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Clark Legacy Center – Frankfort, KY followed by a Celebration of life service at 5pm.
