Denise Susan Reilly

Denise Susan Reilly, 64, Venice, Florida, went home to rest in heaven October 22, 2024. She is survived by her partner and companion, Thomas P. Mottley, brothers Kevin F. Reilly and Brian P. Reilly, (Stacey H. Reilly), mother Elaine T. Reilly, nephew Steven M. Reilly, (Kristen Lewandowski), and two great-nieces, Gabrielle and Violet, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Francis G. (Frank) Reilly, her uncle John (Norrie) N. Timko, and her grandmother, Susan G. Timko. 

Denise grew up in Toms River, New Jersey. She graduated from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, New Jersey, with a bachelor of arts in political science and a minor in fine art. Over the years, Denise had a career as an executive assistant for tech companies, including IDT Telecom, Computer Associates, Computer Sciences Corporation, GE Aerospace, and Lockheed Martin.

She loved to draw, paint, and use any kind of medium to create beautiful jewelry and art. Her favorite stone to use was turquoise. She also had a passion for fashion, and loved to shop for beautiful clothes. Ralph Lauren was her favorite designer.

Denise was a free spirit who loved everything in life. She played first-string clarinet in her junior high marching band. She also was a self-taught guitarist which she enjoyed playing very much. She also loved to cook, especially the big holiday family meals. She also enjoyed going to restaurants, especially for Indian and Chinese cuisine.

Denise was an avid exerciser and would bike twelve miles a day. She loved soccer, and started playing at age eight. Denise played varsity soccer for four years at Toms River North High School. One season, her team made New Jersey state champs. You could always hear Denise cheering the US Women's National Soccer Team and just about any other soccer team, including MLS, UEFA, etc. 

Denise will be deeply missed by all she had the pleasure of knowing.
