Paula Esther Diaz, Age-89, passed away on Tuesday October 22nd, 2024, at Port Charlotte Hospice House. Paula was born on January 19th, 1935, in Santurce, Puerto Rico and was a resident of Port Charlotte, Florida for the last 37 years. Paula was a nurse’s aide and she taught others how to make ceramics along with owning her own company “Paula’s Ceramics.”
Paula is survived by her husband, John Diaz, a son John Fuentes and a daughter, Pamela Diaz. Four grandchildren, Christian Fuentes, Ciarra Diaz-Wilson, Ines and Emmanuel Butler. One great-grandson MJ Jenkins. She is also survived by a sister Irma Pagan and a daughter-in-law, Belinda. Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Paulino Colon and Mercedes Garden and one son, Frank Diaz.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday October 29th from 10-11:00 a.m. where a service will begin at 11:00 am at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Rd. Punta Gorda, FL with interment to follow in Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
