Angelita G Navarro, 98, of Oracle, AZ peacefully passed away in her home on October 27, 2024. Angelita was born on October 1, 1926, to Pedro and Pomposa Gaona in Tombstone, Arizona. Angelita came from a large family where she was one of 16 children. Shortly after her birth, the family relocated to Oracle where she spent the rest of her life.

On June 17, 1950, Angelita married the love of her life Manuel Navarro. Together they raised their sons Frank and Manny. After her husband’s unexpected death, she began work at the facilities department for Pinal County courthouse in Oracle where she met many friends until her retirement.

Angelita loved to crochet, go fishing and camping. She was an avid bingo player and was a fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and loved going to the casino. Most of all was the love and devotion for her grandchildren shown by assisting in raising and caring for them. She attended all of their school, church functions, and sporting events. She was their biggest fan. Her joy and love overflowed when her great-grandchildren visited her and didn’t want them to leave.

Angelita is survived by sons Frank (Annie), Manny (Cindy); grandchildren Rachel (Gavino) Borquez, Yvonne, Manny (Ashley), David (Kim), Rey (Danielle), Angela; great-grandchildren Gavino and Francisco Borquez, Analiyah Zazueta, Vinny, Morgan, Mila, Nevaeh, and Jameson; sister Rosita Rosales; brother Dario Gaona; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Navarro; parents Pedro and Pomposa Gaona; and many brothers and sisters.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, with Rosary at 9 am and mass at 9:30 am at St Helen Roman Catholic Parish in Oracle. Burial will follow at Oracle Cemetery.
