Thomas Kyle Olsson
June 20th, 1998 - November 2nd, 2024
Thomas passed away at age 26 on November 2, 2024. He is survived by his parents Robert and Brenda Olsson; his brother Ray Olsson (Jennifer Leahy); his grandparents Carrie Olsson, Ruth Langley, and Gerald Duffy, Sr. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Thomas is preceded in death by his grandfather Ray Olsson.
Thomas was born and raised in Tucson, Az. As a youngster of 2 years he learned to ride a scooter. He progressed in to recreational BMX bike riding and skateboarding with his brother and friends. At 3 years old Thomas started racing Big Wheels at what was then known as Southern International Raceway. From 8 – 17 years old he raced junior dragsters. Thomas played the Sousaphone (Tuba) with the Sahuaro High School Marching Band. He was also active in church and the youth group at St. Francis de Sales Parish. After high school graduation, Thomas joined the U.S. Army and served as an infantryman in Fairbanks, Alaska. He attained the rank of Specialist, and received an Honorable Discharge in 2019. He then moved back to Arizona, and lived in Phoenix where he attended Universal Technical Institute and became an automobile mechanic.
Thomas was a very kind and friendly person. He easily made friends and has touched many lives. Our hearts and the hearts of all that knew him are broken. He will be genuinely missed.

Thomas’ funeral will be at 10:00 am on 11/20/24 at St. Francis de Sales Parish, 1375 S. Camino Seco, Tucson. The funeral Mass will be followed by internment at All Faiths Cemeteries. There will be a reception at St. Francis de Sales Parish following the internment.
