Arnold ""Arnie"" J. Kohl

Arnold "Arnie" J. Kohl, 93, of Largo, FL, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024. Born on July 25, 1931, in Reading, PA, Arnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marylou, and his son, David. He is survived by his children: Steven Kohl (Johnna), Barbara Thompson (Peter), and Margaret Brunney (Derek). He was a proud grandfather to Lauren Kohl, Catherine Harris (Jon), and Megan Kellett (Lee), and a cherished great-grandfather to Harper, Liam, Hayley, and Penny.
Arnie dedicated 37 years to TWA, working as a Travel Account Manager in Philadelphia and later managing the SATO Office in central Pennsylvania. A Korean War Army veteran, he also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was honored to participate in an Honor Flight.
Known for his love of travel, swimming, reading, playing piano, and a good game of Texas Hold’em, Arnie’s warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be deeply missed by family and friends across Pennsylvania and Florida.
All services for Arnie will be on Thursday, December 5th. Arnie's Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 AM, with a Reception to follow from 11:30 AM to 1:45 PM at Anderson McQueen Tyrone Chapel, 7820 38th Avenue North, St. Peterburg, FL 33710. He will then be laid to rest at 2:30 PM at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed at the funeral home. Arnie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
