Rosa C. Alvarado, 73, passed away peacefully in her home in Lexington, Kentucky, on November 11, 2024, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones from the beginning until the end.

Rosa was born to Antonio and Rosie Casares in Corpus Christi, Texas, on October 26, 1951. Her parents have preceded her in death, as well as her brothers LeRoy and Richard; her sisters Helen and Angela. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Denise (Israel) Vasquez, Deborah (Mark) Flores, Dyan (Rey) Navejar, and Patrick Garcia; her brothers, Albert, Antonio, Robert and Michael; her sisters Gloria, Mary Jane and Rose; her 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren who adored her.

Her life was beautifully surrounded with the color pink. She was known as the “Pink Lady”. She kept everyone immersed in laughter. She loved her crossword puzzles, ice cream sandwiches, and her pink robe. She was absolutely loved and will be greatly missed.

As roses bloom in Heaven, so will you. Family will have a private celebration of life service for Rosa. “We extend our warm gratitude to those who had a part in her care and the heartfelt contributions provided by family and friends.”
