Leonard Nunez
July 4th, 1961 - October 24th, 2024
Leonard Jesus Nunez born to Sally and Frank on July 4,1961, in Denver Colorado. Died October 24, 2024, at Denver Health Medical Center. On October 1, 1986, Leonard married Eleanor Garcia. She cared for Leonard to the very end. She and other family members were by his side. Leonard was the father to 5 children: Daniel Lee(deceased), Gina, William, Leonard Jr.(deceased), and Joseph. He had 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Leonard was the middle child of 5; Betty(deceased), Denise, Berna(deceased), Frank, and brother to 4 half siblings; Yvonne(deceased), Geraldine, Diane, and Jerry Jr. Leonard was a jack of all trades. He worked in many industries from cooking, parks and recs, construction, a delivery driver, assembling auto parts and fixing cars. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, camping and fixing things. He loved the outdoors. He was in a bowling league with his sister Berna, and he also joined a baseball league in his younger days. He enjoyed baking (cinnamon rolls were his specialty). He enjoyed coloring and hanging out with his grandkids, nieces and nephews. The kids loved hanging out with him, talking, laughing and getting treats. Leonard always had candy to share. In 2010 Leonard became ill and could no longer work a full-time job. That never stopped Leonard from lending a helping hand to family and friends. Leonard enjoyed his life the way he enjoyed his food, his way. He will be missed dearly.
