Henry Munoz
November 30th, 1931 - October 20th, 2024
Henry Munoz passed away at the age of 92 on October 20, 2024. He was born in Holtville, California in 1931.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret F Munoz. Together they raised 7 sons and 2 daughters. Their sons are Gregory Munoz, Vincent (Pat) Munoz, Armando Munoz, Henry Leo (Nora) Munoz, Manuel Munoz, Francisco (Mary) Munoz, and Steven (Rebecca) Munoz. Their daughters are Teresa (Michael) Bilicic and Rita (Carlos) Munoz. They were blessed with 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way in March 2025. He also survived by his two sisters Lina (John) Romero and Weby (Charlie) Chavez along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his son Manuel Munoz. His mother Teresa C Munoz and father, Francisco Munoz. His sisters Esperanza Munoz, Frances (Gus) Lugo, Sally (Shiloh) Poulter, Teresa (Pete) Urquides, Lilly (Richard) Arriola, and Delia (Eddie) Varela. Brothers Francisco Munoz, Art (Ramona) Munoz, Manuel (Marta) Munoz, and Frank Munoz.
He joined the Army in 1949 and became a Paratrooper (Rakkassan) for the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team. He volunteered for Combat Front Line Duty in the Korean War and returned home in 1954. He was a very proud American. He raised his family in California while farming and truck driving. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He retired in Tucson, Arizona and dedicated his life to his family. He is greatly missed.
Interment Services are scheduled for 11am on December 6, 2024 at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana, AZ. After the service, family and friends are invited to celebrate Henry’s life at Casino of the Sun 7406 S Camino De Oeste in the Sunset Room from 12-4pm.
