Frances E. Genereux
September 25th, 1935 - November 16th, 2024
Chicopee- Frances E. (Wilson) Genereux, 89, passed away November 16, 2024, at River Mills Assisted Living in Chicopee. She was born on September 25, 1935, in Pittsfield, MA to Paul and Josephine (Gavin) Wilson. She lived most of her life in Belchertown where she resided until she moved to Chicopee in 2023. Frances was a devout catholic and communicant of St. Francis Church. Her foremost love was spending time with her family. She was predeceased in death by her husband Donald and her son David Genereux. Her generous good nature, infectious laugh, and terrific sense of humor will be deeply missed by her children, Regina Crouss, Donald Genereux, Jr. and his wife Karen, Michael Genereux and his wife Karen, John Genereux and his wife Alice, and Paul Genereux and his wife Kim. She will also be missed by 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Christopher Heights Assisted Living in Belchertown as well as River Mills Assisted Living. In particular, the family would like to acknowledge her nurse Kristy Gaulin, who cared for her the past 6 years. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 22 from 10:00-11:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am all at St. Francis Church in Belchertown, MA. Burial services will follow immediately after the mass at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Shriner's Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
