Steven Glee Green

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve Green, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, on November 18, 2024. He was 78 years old, born on April 18, 1946, in Indianola, Iowa. Steve lived a full and adventurous life, filled with passion, love, and a deep connection to the outdoors and his family.

A true enthusiast of all things outdoors, Steve had a lifelong love of horses, dirt bikes, and water sports in his younger days. He was often found camping, riding his Harley, or spending time with those closest to him. His adventurous spirit knew no bounds, and his zest for life was infectious.

Above all, Steve cherished time with his family. He was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Sheila, with whom he shared nearly 60 years of marriage. Their bond was unshakable, built on love, mutual respect, and shared memories. Together, they raised a loving family. Steve cherished the weekends when his grandchildren would visit, bringing him endless joy and pride.

A graduate of Indianola High School, Steve was a state wrestler, known for his discipline and commitment. He went on to make lasting friendships and was a loyal companion to many throughout his life. As the third oldest of eight siblings, Steve grew up in a close-knit family, and his siblings were a source of support and joy throughout his life.

Steve leaves behind his loving wife, Sheila, children BJ (Kris) and Stetson, one grandson, 4 granddaughters, and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by three siblings and his parents Jack and Deloris Green. He also leaves behind countless friends who were touched by his kindness, humor, and unwavering loyalty.

He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories of all who knew and loved him. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Rest in peace, Steve. You were loved more than words can express, and your legacy will forever be cherished.
