Barbara “Bobbie” Bang, 81, of Dawsonville passed away November 21, 2024 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born May 22, 1943 to the late Sherman and Thelma Heard, Bobbie had been a resident of Dawson County for over 20 years coming from College Park. For many years she worked as a hairdresser and a bus driver for the Dawson County School System. Bobbie loved to work in her garden. She was very devoted to her family and loved her grandchildren most of all. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Tonya Leigh Kitchens, Cheryl Williams Frady and sister, Betty Drum.
Surviving are her husband of over 40 years, Thomas R. Bang of Dawsonville, daughter, Melanie and Shawn Young of Alabama, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
The family will receive friends at Bearden Funeral Home on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Bobbie had a great love for animals. In lieu of flowers donations are requested in Bobbie’s memory to the Dawson County Humane Society at www.dawsoncountyhumanesociety.org.
