Suzun Lane Eggler

Suzun Eggler, born November 3, 1940, in Manhattan Beach, California, passed away the morning of November 21st in Johnstown, Colorado.

She graduated from Glendora High School in 1959 before proudly serving her country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1964. Suzun was stationed in Germany and travelled throughout Europe where she met Jack Eggler, and the two got married in Switzerland.

Back in the states, Suzun then lived in California where she raised 3 children before moving to Boulder City, Nevada, then to Milliken, Colorado in 2006, where she would spend the remainder of her days creating cherished memories with her family and friends.

Suzun is survived by her three children: Karan, Catharin, and Michael; eight grandchildren: Miguel, Suzun, Anissia, Jorge, Kurstin, Juliann, Michael Jr., and Joseph; and twelve great-grandchildren: Tiffany, Aiden, Natalie, Kaiden, Jaxon, Catalina, Derikk, Dominikk, Donovan, Genesis, Titus, and Selah. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor and Dennis Holmes Sr., and her brother, Dennis Holmes Jr.

Suzun enjoyed a variety of activities and created lifelong friendships and memories with those that she had met in her adventures. She was an avid bowler and racquetball player in her younger days and always found a way to stay active. Later on in her life she frequently attended BINGO every wednesday night at the local VFW, and participated in swimming classes at the YMCA. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit and kind heart, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her vibrant personality brought happiness to all that knew her.

A Celebration of Suzun’s Life will be held on December 21, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the J M Post Veterans Club, 104 E S 1st St, Johnstown, CO 80534.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join in honoring Suzun’s life, sharing memories, and celebrating her incredible legacy.
