John Joseph Faulstick, 1939-2024
John Joseph Faulstick (“Jack”) passed away on November 26, 2024, at age 85. Born to Joseph and Mary Faulstick, John grew up in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, MA.
Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he specialized in cryptology and computerized communications during the Cold War. This time learning about early computers sparked his interest in the field and he found a long career working at the forefront of data processing and computer programming.
Along with his wife, Rita, Jack moved to Arizona in the 1970’s, settling in Mesa, AZ, where he remained for the rest of his life. Always curious, John was an avid reader, voracious crossword puzzler, lover of animals, and great appreciator and patron of classical music.
John is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Francis, and a sister, Mary Louise. He is survived by his wife, Rita, daughter, Linda, brothers, James and Carl, his sisters, Elizabeth and Kathleen, and many nieces and nephews.
