Samuel “Sam” Demmit Langley, III., 68 a resident of Ocala, Florida passed away on November 19, 2024, at Advent Health Hospital in Ocala.  He was born on October 6, 1956 in Hollywood, Florida. 

 

He attended Chaminade Catholic Preparatory School and graduated from Marathon High School.  He earned a degree from Florida Keys Community College.  Sam worked in the Marine business all of his life and retired from being the owner of his own business, Still Waters Marine.  He loved being outdoors fishing, boating, at the beach or relaxing in the mountains.  He also loved serving as a deacon at First Presbyterian Church and never met a stranger.  He was a people person who always made time to talk.  He will be missed for his humor and wit quoting “Seinfeld”. 

 

Sam is preceded in death by his grandparents Raynell (Ray) and Dorothy Lax and Samuel Sr. and Dolly Langley, father Samuel Langley, Jr. and son Samuel Langley, IV. 

 

He is survived by his wife of 29 years Tammy Langley, Ocala, Florida; children Bryan (Sara) Fennessy, Dunnellon, Florida; Brooke (Andrew) Marion, New Port Richey, Florida; mother Betty Langley, Ocala, Florida.  Sam was the oldest son and brother to Ray (Bobbie) Langley, Ocklawaha, Florida and John (Gaylynn) Langley, Cedar Key, Florida.

 

A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church, Ocala, Florida.
