Sharon Cardella recently passed at age 86. She was born in Kansas City, MO to Marion and Charles Townsdin & moved to Tucson in 1950. Attended St Joseph’s Academy, Salpointe and Tucson High (1956) & UofA
Was an executive secretary at Southern AZ Bank prior to marrying Ken Cardella (divorced). Spent many years playing & volunteering with the Southwest and local tennis organizations particularly focusing on junior tennis development. She made special life-long friends thru tennis. She also spent many hours riding on Trails in Catalina State Park on her beloved rescue horse Doug. She enjoyed being an active part of her Tucson High lunch Alums group. Blessed with Daughters Kynn Escalante (Carlos) Marisa Mallo, and son Kenneth Jr (Kyla) and Granddaughter Danielle Mallo. Also survived by brother Chuck Townsdin, Sandra Townsdin, Michael Townsdin and Kelly Kiang. Sharon faced many health challenges with a strength and determination to survive and then thrive with a quick-witted sense of humor-she was an inspiration to all around her.
