Netha B. Johnson was born on April 17th, 1931, in Beaufort, SC to the late Whitaker and Sarah B Green. Netha was the oldest of eleven children. Netha received her education at Jerusalem School in Beaufort County. She then moved to Canton, Ohio in 1950, to seek employment and there she met the love of her life. Netha enjoyed dancing, gardening, singing, and she was an avid reader. On October 27th, 1951, she married Abraham Johnson. They enjoyed 69 years of marriage. On July 8th, 1959, she dedicated her life to Jehovah. Her greatest joy was sharing her bible-based belief to anyone who would listen especially Gods promise found at John 5:28. In 1969, she relocated back to South Carolina with her family. 

Netha was preceded in death by her parents Whitaker and Sarah B Green, and one son, Herman Green. She is survived by her five children; Two sons Edgar Brown (Mary) of Mount Vernon, New York, and Henry Johnson (Yemassee, SC), three daughters Whydell Johnson Goethie (Richmond, VA), Pernell Goethie (David)(Beaufort, SC), and Susann Cooper-Pringle (Richard)(Beaufort, SC). Three brothers; Edward Green (Lucille)(Yemassee, SC), Samuel Green (Lula)(Yemassee, SC), and Alvin Green (Margie)(Yemassee, SC). Eleven grandchildren; Shannon, Anthony, Howard, Selena, Nicole, David Jr., Jeffery, Jessie, Abenetha, Anthony, and Jamal. Also, twelve great-grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 2474 Frontage Rd, Yemassee, SC 29945 on Thursday December 12th, 2024, at 1PM. A Zoom link will be provided prior to the service.
