Charles "Charlie" William Chester Guillon
September 25th, 1988 - December 2nd, 2024
Charles (Charlie) William Chester Guillon of Washington, D.C. died unexpectedly on December 2, 2024. He has joined his brother, Emmanuel (Mano) Guillon , and his father Olivier Guillon in heaven and is survived by his mother, Christine McMaster of Duck, NC and his sister Nina McMaster da Mota of Wilmington, NC
Charlie was born in Paris, France on September 25, 1988. His childhood was spent in: France where his parents and grandparents lived in Malakoff; the United States where his family lived in Silver Spring, Maryland; and, also in Portugal in his teen years in the Algarve, where he attended The International School of the Algarve and the Valverde School from which he graduated in 2004.
Charlie was a free spirit and loved adventure. From traveling cross country in a pink converted school-bus to attend Burning Man, an extended trip to India, and a Rainbow Gathering in Columbia, South America, he lived unconventionally. Charlie was happily planning his next trip back to France to see family, as well as an adventure to Argentina when he passed.
Charlie loved his family with all his heart, found joy in spending time with his sister Nina, his family in North Carolina, his family in Virginia and his French family in Paris. He was his mother’s protector, even as a young boy and was a very loyal friend to so many who will miss him deeply.
Charlie’s epic hugs and huge smile will live on in the hearts of those who love him. A private celebration of life will take place in January near his mother’s home on the Outer Banks, NC
