Thomas "Tom" William Osborne
October 5th, 1953 - November 30th, 2024
Thomas William Osborne, lovingly known as Tom, was born on October 5, 1953, to William and Barbara Osborne in Buffalo, New York. On November 30, 2024, Tom went home to be with Jesus. While his presence will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing he is now whole and at peace in God’s presence.
Tom is survived by his wife, Lynne Osborne, his children Sarah Ditzler (Mark), Kim Arora (Anit), and Ray Roberts (Mari), and his cherished grandchildren: Amelia, Evelyn, Emery, Arjun Thomas, Evanna, Naoto, and Mio. He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers Jeffrey Osborne (Pam) and William Osborne (Ann), his brothers-in-law Paul (Pam) and Mark (Teresa), many nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.
Tom spent his formative years in Decatur, Illinois. After graduating high school, he attended Western Illinois University before beginning a career that highlighted his natural ability to connect with people. At Mueller and Company, Tom excelled in sales, covering an eight-state territory where he thrived on meeting new people. A true conversationalist at heart, he never encountered a stranger. Sales remained a central part of his professional life in the years that followed.
After years in the Midwest, Tom and Lynne retired to Sun City, Arizona, where they enjoyed being closer to family and escaping the cold winters.
Tom was an artist in the truest sense of the word. A self-taught gem cutter, he could transform a rough stone into a beautiful, faceted gem, ready to shine as a piece of jewelry. His creative talents extended to painting, drawing, silversmithing, and countless other artistic pursuits that captured his interest and imagination.
While Tom’s creativity and wit brought joy to those around him, his greatest love was for his Lord and his family. His sense of humor, unwavering love, and steadfast faith were gifts he shared daily and will remain treasured memories for all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Bellevue Heights Church, 9440 West Hutton Drive, Sun City, AZ. The service will be live streamed at https://www.bhcsuncity.com/recent-services.
