It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Zachary D. Chavez, who left this world far too soon on December 11, 2024, at the age of 39. Born on February 19, 1985, in Durango, Colorado, Zachary lived a vibrant and full life marked by hard work, love, and laughter.

Zachary excelled in many trades, working as a journeyman welder, sheet metal worker, and salesman. His determination and skill were matched only by his warm personality, which made him a joy to work with and be around.

A die-hard Denver sports fan, Zachary's love for the Broncos was unmatched. Whether cheering on his team, shooting pool with friends, or enjoying great music, Zachary made every moment count. He cherished sunsets, concerts, movie nights, and late-night drives, often accompanied by the game show Jeopardy, which he loved to watch.

Above all, Zachary valued family and friendship. Known for his big heart, infectious laugh, and beautiful smile, he was a steadfast presence in the lives of those who loved him.

Zachary is survived by his loving parents, Roberta and Koggie Chavez Sr.; his brothers, Koggie Chavez Jr. and Danny Chavez Sr.; his sister-in-law, Lauren Chavez; and his beloved children, Zachary Chavez Jr., Angelo Chavez, and Aleina Chavez. He also leaves behind his nieces, Meleah, Reina, Naomi, Angel, and Aaliyah; his nephew, Pierce; and his fiancée, Rosa Baez and her two children Angelica and Yuliana

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Joe Chavez; his brother, Joshua Chavez; his nephew, Danny Chavez Jr., his uncle Jim McNerlin and uncle Coles and his cousin, Michael Chavez.

Zachary's family will forever hold his memory in their hearts, honoring the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Zachary. Your love, joy, and spirit will live on in all who knew you.
