Sherry Lee Young, 81, of Oconomowoc passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Lake Country Health Services.

Sherry was born on February 23, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan to Ray and Catherine (Grams) Turner. On April 20, 1963 Sherry married Larry Young in Elkhorn and together they raised four children.  Sherry worked at Melster’s Candy Co. for twelve years.

She enjoyed animals, puzzles, baking cookies, and going to the movies when she was able.

Sherry is survived by her children, Teresa (Dan) Grassman of Summerville, South Carolina, Steven Young of Sun Prairie, Katherine (Dale) Jaedike of Summerville, South Carolina, Matthew Young, of Rockford; grandchildren, Katie Hanson, Ian Hanson, Jack Jaedike, Megan Young, Derek Young, Emily Young, Turner Young; and sister, Sue Sheldraw.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Catherine Turner; sister,  Betty (Don) Kreager.; and brother-in-law, Norm Sheltraw.

No formal services are arranged at this time.

The family would like to give special thanks to Lake Country Health Services for their exceptional care for Sherry.
