Raymond "Butch" Francis Multhauf
March 23rd, 1939 - December 13th, 2024
Raymond “Butch” Multhauf, 85, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 . He was the only child of Clarence and Mary (Wooldridge) Multhauf. Butch was born on March 23, 1939 in Watertown, WI and was a lifelong resident of Jefferson.
Butch spent 35 years with the love of his life, Barbara(nee Merrifield). They wed in Florida on the beach in February 2005. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; stepchildren who loved him dearly: Joanne (Bret) Nelson, Sharon (Barry) Kenyon and Brett (Pamela) Bunes; grandchildren Benjamin (Amber) Kenyon, Jeanette (Derrick Driscoll) Nelson, Geoff (Janette) Kenyon, and Kiel Nelson; great-grandchildren Evelynn and Isabelle Kenyon; many cousins and friends.
Butch will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness and love he brought to all that knew him. He was a lifelong Packer fan. He and his father were season ticket holders for many years. The group was called the Great 8 Packer Backers. He hunted and fished in his younger years. Butch spent many years bowling with the Knights of Columbus, watching the Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers. He retired from General Motors in Janesville in 1991 after 33 years of service.
Butch served in the National Guard Red Arrow Division from 1959-1965. He remained active following his military service as an active member in the American Legion and was a member of the Honor Guard.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 12:00pm at Schneider Michaelis Funeral Home 900 W. Racine St. Jefferson, WI with full military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 10:00am until the time of the service.
Butch, you will always be in our hearts. Thank you for the love, laughs, and kindness you brought to our mom and for being a big part of all of our lives. Never to be forgotten. Rest in peace.
In honor of Butch, please feel free to wear you Packer apparel. The family would like to thank the Jefferson Fire Department and EMT’s as well as the doctors and nurses at Fort Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion they extended to Butch and the family.
