Malika Lawrence Fleak, beloved mother, sister, wife, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 57 on December 17, 2024, in her home in Kernersville, North Carolina.
She was born on December 18, 1966, in Thailand. She graduated from Reid Ross High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1985. She studied master gardener cooperative extension at NC State University, class of 2020
She is survived by her daughter, Maria and son, Ethan; parents, Richard and Terry Lawrence; former spouse, David Fleak; and three sisters, Vasana Tibbs (John), Cindy Burnett (Bill) and Dawn Troop (James). She was preceded in death by her sister, Jennifer Niemiec and brother-in-law, Andrew Niemiec,
She enjoyed partaking in gardening and cooking. She was well-known for her homemade spring rolls and homemade spicy pickles using cucumbers grown in her garden. She was very crafty and loved to create treasures to give away or sell.
There will be a celebration of life and visitation on Saturday, December 28th from 12:00 to 2:00 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel.
