Roosevelt Talmadge Russell, Jr. was born in Wilmington DE, on September 8th, 1951, and Resided in Bradenton, Florida. Born to the late Flossie Mae Russell and the late Roosevelt Talmadge Russell, Sr., and passed away, on Tuesday, December 9th, 2024, in Bradenton, Florida.

He enlisted in the US Army from 1971 to 1973. Roosevelt is preceded in death by his wife, Vanessa J. Mitchell Russell, parents Flossie Mae Russell, and his brother Johnny L. Russell (Sheik Mugabi). He is survived by his son Corey Mitchell, (Sheila); stepchildren, Joseph, Keiya, Simeon, Kendall; step grandson, Caleb and Tony. Siblings, Edmund B. Poole, Elizabeth Smalls (Dennis), Timothy A Simmons, Jr, and Annette R. Simmons-Coffee (Charles); Other Siblings Virgil, Gregory, Tony, Stephan, Willie, Telling, Monica, and a Host of Family and Friends.

Services will be held 10:30 am, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
