Angie Zapata-Dileo

Angela "Angie" Mary Zapata Dileo, 70, of North Port, FL, formerly of Darlington, SC passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL.
Angie was born on May 12, 1954, in New York City, NY, the daughter of Eddie N. Zapata and the late Barbara V. Crummenauer Ryder.
Angie dedicated 13 years of her life as an Administrative Assistant at the Moose Lodge 764 in North Port, FL. She became affectionately known as "Mama Moose". Her warmth, dedication, and nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she met, making the lodge feel like a second home to many. She will be deeply missed by her Moose Lodge family and all who were fortunate to know her.
Angie is survived by her loving family, including her daughter, Kathy Carroll (Mike) of Slate Hill, NY, her father, Eddie Nelson Zapata, Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA, her brother, Eddie Nelson Zapata, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, and sisters Margaret V. Hilborn (David) of Harrisburg, NC, Olga M. Reed (Ken) of Virginia Beach, VA and Donna J. Harris (Doug) of Harrisburg, NC. And many many nieces and nephews.
She cherished her role as a daughter, mother & sister and found immense joy in creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Angie's memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, who will forever cherish the lessons, laugher, and love she so generously shared.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Moose Lodge 764 at a later date.
