Beers and Story - Belchertown
Christa Mary Garrow
April 24th, 1985 - December 26th, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christa Mary Garrow, cherished daughter, devoted mother, beloved sister and friend, who passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Born on April 24, 1985, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Christa brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. A graduate of Belchertown High School in 2003, she embraced life with an adventurous spirit and a compassionate heart. Christa's love for animals, especially her adored dogs Lucy Mae and Nova Star, her three cats, and two frogs, was well known to all who knew her. She found joy in simple pleasures, like taking day trips to the serene beaches, embarking on long drives, and cherishing moments gazing at the stars with her beloved daughter, Rhaelyn, at Mount Pollux.
Photography was one of Christa's passions, capturing the beauty of sunsets and the world around her through her lens. Her artistic soul shone brightly in everything she pursued. Yet, above all, her greatest pride and joy was in being a mother. She often said that becoming a mother was the best thing that ever happened to her, finding immense fulfillment and happiness in nurturing her daughter.
Christa is survived by her loving daughter Rhaelyn Foote; her devoted mother Ernamary Dunne and stepfather Carl; her father Nelson Garrow, affectionately known as "Honey Daddy" and "Santa," and his wife Michelle; her sisters, Heidi Garrow and fiancée Nathan Scruton, and Hailey Garrow; her stepbrother Michael Perry; her cherished paternal grandparents, Nelson and Joanne "Masy" Garrow; her maternal grandmother, Ernamary Day; uncles, Francis Garrow, Charles Lippman Jr. and his wife Denise, and many other uncles, aunts, and cousins. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.
The family would like to thank the staff of UMASS Memorial Hospital 6th floor ICU for the compassionate care provided to Christa in her final days.
A visitation will be held at Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home on Saturday, February 8th, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, with a closing ceremony to begin at 1:30 pm, to honor Christa’s memory and celebrate her life.
Those wishing to express condolences and support for Rhaelyn’s future are invited to contribute to the family's Go Fund Me page at [https://gofund.me/6c13e760](https://gofund.me/6c13e760).
Christa's gentle spirit, warm smile, and loving heart will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her late beloved dog Ecko and cat Spaz, surrounded by the stars she so dearly loved.
