Dorothy Mae Yeager, 92, passed away in peace surrounded by her loving family on December 22, 2024. Dorothy was born on April 10, 1932, in Fort Morgan, Colorado to Etta and Bill Sirios. Soon after graduating high school from Prospect Valley she married Ray Yeager while he was in the Navy.  They made San Diego their home until Ray was discharged.

Dorothy and Ray moved back to Colorado and began farming in the Prospect Valley area.  Dorothy enjoyed helping Ray on the farm and she also taught Sunday School. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting.

Her greatest joy in life was her family.  Her unique ability to care for others, while demonstrating love and kindness were her greatest gift to us all. Dorothy always made everyone she met feel special with her kind heart. No one ever left her house empty handed.  She will be deeply missed, but her love and memories will forever live in our hearts.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 72 years Ray, and her son’s Randy (Melody) Yeager of Westminster, Colorado, Ron (Linda) Yeager of Greeley, Colorado. She will be forever treasured by 6 grandchildren - Chad (Kristin) Yeager, Kristi (Paul) Buescher, Ariann (Jay) Byerly, Michael Yeager and Jenny Yeager. “Yaya’s” memory and love will be cherished by her 7 great grandchildren - Jackson Yeager, Anna Yeager, Rhett Buescher, Barrett Buescher, Camden Buescher, Caden Byerly and Ava Byerly. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, 11 brothers and sisters, and a grandchild Amy Yeager.

She is a family treasure to each and every one of us.

A Life Celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Adamson with a reception to follow.
