Mr. Gary Charles Madison, age 85, a resident of Polk City, Florida passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. Mr. Madison was born November 21, 1939, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Charles Edward and June A. (Vincent) Madison. He was a Florida resident since 1979 and Polk City resident since 2020 coming from Michigan. Gary was a retired Owner/Operator for an Overhead Door & Construction Company. He was a lifetime member of the Battle Creek Masonic Lodge 412, past member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed golf, hunting and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers – Richard & Dennis. Gary is survived by his loving family, wife of 66 years – Jan Madison of Polk City, Florida; son – Gary D. Madison of Florida; 1 daughter – Penni Staires of Melbourne; 2 grandchildren – Gary Charles Madison,II, Gari Lynn (Robert) Iezzi, 2 great grandchildren – Robbie, and Madison. A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday, January 14th at Kersey Funeral Home.
