Frances L. Walker of Melbourne, Florida, born in Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, just shy of her 86th birthday. Born on January 11, 1939, to Leonard and Alice Lerch, Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Frances was married to John A. Walker for 36 years, raising three daughters: Dawn  (Larry) Baxter of West Lafayette, IN, Debra (Theodore) Davis of New Bern, NC, and Dyann (Daniel) Dennis of Lancaster, PA. She adored her grandchildren, Sierra, Christian, David and Justin Baxter; Megan (Micah) Rich and Morgan (Nicholas) Braxton; and Joshua and Tayler Dennis. Frances was also blessed with 3 great-grandchildren: Jonah and Miriam Rich, and Nora Braxton. She also cherished her role as a sister to Virginia Gilbertson.

Frances dedicated her life to her family, finding immense joy in the love and achievements of her daughters and grandchildren. She also contributed to her community through her work in medical records and her long-time volunteer efforts with LOVE, Inc., an organization dear to her heart. 

A service to celebrate Fran’s life will be held at Covenant Church in Palm Bay on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to "Love in the Name of Jesus Christ" in her honor.

Frances will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished.
