Jean Bardwell Nowell

Jean was born in Lawrence, Mass, daughter of Syrian immigrants.

She graduated from Lawrence High School;, attended professional Secretarial school and worked as an admin assistant in Boston for many years.

She and her husband raised a family in Methuen, Mass. and when the children were older, she worked as a medical assistant in urology and cardio thoracics for several decades.

Jean was a consummate cook and entertainer and an accomplished pianist. She loved traveling with her husband, Gilbert, experiencing exotic destinations in Holland and Australia.

She is survived by her son Michael Nowell(Carol) and her daughter Bonnie Kraska(Lawrence), her beloved grandchildren Dr. Jennifer Kraska and Matthew Kraska. Jennifer Mancillas(Trinidad) and Dayna Veit(KC) and her great grandchildren Anthony, Eva, Hailey and Jason. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years. Gilbert S. Nowell, her parents Michael and Tamaam Bardwell and her brother, Michael Bardwell.

As a Matriarch  of her family, Jean devoted her time  to ensuring her family was well provided for. She dearly loved her family and lived a long and joyful life. She was loved by her family and will be terribly missed.

A celebration of life will be held in Florida in the near future. The family in accordance with Jean's wishes requests no flowers; alternatively a donation to her favorite charity can be made in her memory.
