Susan D. Barbin

Susan D. Barbin, 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, at Ellis Hospital.
Born on August 20, 1953, in Amsterdam, a daughter of the late Donald and Norma (Werkheiser) Krahmer.
Susan is a graduate of Amsterdam High School, class of 1971. She was a workaholic and recently retired from Ellis Hospital. In her spare time, Susan was very passionate about traveling and had a love for animals.
On August 22, 1971, Susan married her loving husband, James Barbin, it was a loving union until his passing on April 12, 2022.
Susan is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Krahmer (Glen), Norma Jean Miller (Daniel), Margaret Kosuda (Edward), Raymond Krahmer (Mayra) and Jo Anne Solis (Jose); extended family, Scott, Sarah & Mackenzie Sutton; goddaughter, Alexandra Ryle and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Krahmer and Franklyn Krahmer.
Services for Susan will be held in the Spring and will be announced. At that time, Susan will be laid to rest with Jim at Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam.
Susan’s care has been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam.
