Jose Antonio Martin Martin, 79, of Castroville, passed away on January 1, 2025. He was born on January 5, 1945, in Pegueros, Jalisco. Jose was a Supervisor Mechanic at Artichoke Industries in Castroville for 38 years. Jose was a loving Father and loved to spend time with his family. His passion was hunting, fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his parents Juana and Eusebio Martin, his sons, Randolph Dean Martin, Joe Anthony Martin Jr., and William Scott Martin. Jose is survived by his wife Amy Martin; daughters, Sheena N. Martin, Heidi M. (Nestor) Tavarez, Holly E. (Andrew) Bravo, Amy D. (Carlos) Diaz, Trisha M. (Chris) Lonetree; Son, Ramon R. (Alexandria) Obas; Sister Maria De La Luz (Toncha) Vasquez; Brother, Robert M. Martin, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. January 14, 2025, at Healey Mortuary ,405 N. Sanborn Rd, Salinas. Rosary to follow at the same location (Healey Mortuary) from 6pm to 8p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. January 15, 2025 at Our Lady of Refuge Church, 11140 Preston St. Castroville. Reception to follow at Castroville Community Center,11261 Crane St. Castroville.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
