Ronald Treffley Trombley

Ronald Treffley Trombley, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was called home by our Heavenly Father on December 25, 2024, in Venice, Florida. We are thankful that he passed peacefully and that his loving family was by his side. Ronald was born on February 14, 1944, in Malone, New York, to Thelma (Legare) and Treffley Trombley. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna (Weiand) Trombley, his brother Robert Trombley (Linda), his parents and cherished Aunt Priscilla Capstraw (Doug). He’s survived by his three children Treff Trombley (Laura), Tammy Linton (Mark) and Todd Trombley (Megan), as well as his brother Roger Trombley (Joanne), his adoring eight grandchildren (Tony, Nicole, Justin, Treffley, Riley, Zachary, Heather, & Tanner) twelve great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Born and raised outside Syracuse, New York, Ron spent his life serving his Country in the U.S. Army, worked at Allied Chemical for several years as a skilled rigger and welder, he was also a mason, artist, salesman, and dreamer. In 1990 he and Donna moved to Colorado to be closer to their three children and grandchildren, until they eventually retired in Port Charlotte, Florida. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors and his daily walks with his beloved dog, Buddy. Ron cherished his 55 years of marriage to his wife Donna but his time with his adoring grandchildren on Tallywhacker Ridge where they spent endless hours listening to his captivating stories and learning from his incredible wisdom, this was his greatest achievement! A celebration of life will be planned at a later date to honor and remember Ronald’s life and the incredible impact he had on all who knew him.
