Laurel Ann Marneris 

April 13, 1950 – January 3, 2025

Laurel Ann Marneris, born on April 13, 1950, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, at the age of 74, surrounded by loved ones.

Laurel came from humble beginnings and went on to build a successful window and siding distribution company with her husband, Panagiotis, a testament to her hardworking spirit and dedication. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and was known for her generosity, always offering help to those in need.

Laurel had a passion for words. She was a talented poet and enjoyed playing word games, especially Scrabble. Her love of language was matched only by her affection for all the children in her life, as well as her dogs and parrots.

She is survived by her husband, Panagiotis; daughter, Matina; son, Dean; son-in-law, Joseph; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings; nieces; nephews; and many dear friends. Laurel is now reunited in heaven with her beloved son George, as well as other family members and friends who preceded her in death.

Though she will be deeply missed, Laurel’s legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will live on in all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Ammen Family Cremation, 1001 Hickory St, Melbourne, FL 32901. A funeral Mass will be held on February 21, 2025, at 9:45 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 85 Post Ave, Westbury, NY 11590. Following the Mass, an interment service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel in the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590. Her final resting place will be with her beloved son George in the Mausoleum at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood.
