It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christopher Lee
Johnson, 50, of Tacoma, WA, who left us far too soon on January 3, 2025.
Christopher (Chris) was born on March 6, 1974, to Dennis and Debbie Johnson in Nashville, TN. A man of dedication, dry humor, and kindness, he brought joy to all who knew him. He graduated from Deer Valley High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Arizona State University. Chris worked in the restaurant industry for most of his career, making many friends.
He most recently was the General Manager at Oxbow Urban Kitchen.
Chris is survived by his children, Holden (age 14) and Audrey (age 8); his wife Stephanie; his parents Dennis and Debbie; his sister, Tammy Shust and her husband, Jon and their children Ashton and Emma; his nephews, James and David Reyes.
Chris’s children will always remember his laughter, storytelling, supportive nature, and trips hunting together. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In light of the sudden passing, the family asks for privacy as they navigate through this difficult situation.
A celebration of life will be held for Chris on Tuesday February 04, 2025, at 11 am at Edward’s Funeral Home 11020 South Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA 98499.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
