Stephen "Steve" Kinney
January 10th, 1950 - January 3rd, 2025
Stephen “Steve” Kinney of Venice, Florida and Frederick, Maryland was born on January 10, 1950 in Liberal, Kansas and passed away on January 3, 2025 at the age of 74. He worked for I.B.M. from September 5, 1977 and retired on December 30, 2012. Steve served in the U.S. Navy for 9 years and was in the Submarine Service. He was a member of the Sarasota Wood Turners, Ramblers Rest Wood Shop, American Legion, a Life Member of the V.F.W. and an Eagle Scout. Steve made friends with everyone he met and loved sharing a good (and bad) joke. He was very loved and will be missed by all.
Steve is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Ann Kinney; two sons, Aron Kinney, Matthew Kinney; daughter-in-law, Krysia Kinney; two granddaughters, Morgan Johnson and Emalee Kinney and one grandson Scot Kinney; a brother, Mark Kinney of Amarillo, Texas and a sister, Kanda Thacker of Eufaula, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurel Elmo Kinney and Betty Lou (Spellman) Kinney.
