Janice Lee Nomina
September 2nd, 1936 - December 28th, 2024
Janice Lee Nomina, age 88, passed away at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on December 28th, 2024. She was born September 2nd, 1936, to Russell and Mary Koehler in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She is survived by her sisters Ness Doehla and Sue McBride of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her children Mike Nomina (wife Petra) of Portland, Oregon and Linda Wetzel (husband Rick) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren: Lindsey Wetzel, Landon Wetzel, and Sophia Nomina; and numerous nieces and nephews. Janice is preceded in death by her parents Russell and Mary; husband Richard; sisters Anne Bailey and Pam Scheuman; and brother Barry Dean Koehler.
Janice graduated from Central High School in Fort Wayne in 1954. She married Richard in 1957. She was employed for many years at General Electric in Fort Wayne as an assembly worker. Janice was very sociable and had many interests which included volunteering, gardening, lake living, cooking, baking, games, and decorating for the holidays.
A graveside service will be held in the spring in Indiana where she will be buried next to her husband Richard.
