Mary Elizabeth Ballard “Beth” passed away peacefully the morning of January 8, 2025. Born in Louisville Kentucky & forever the giver, Beth lived a life full of service toward others, commitment to her faith and family! Throughout a personal and professional career spanning over 5 decades, she was able to teach and impact countless lives. Graduating East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology, Beth used her degree to help anyone and everyone she came into contact with. Starting from elementary school teaching all the way to college instruction and professional psychology. Her lasting impact and love for her family & community will be felt for an eternity. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Howard and Mary Jane Ballard, and her brother, Larry Gerard Ballard. 

She is survived by her son, Michael Ballard; grandson, Braxton; and brothers, Joseph Ballard Jr. and wife Bobbye, Daniel Ballard and wife Barbara, Doug Ballard, William Ballard and wife Jeannie, and Robert Ballard and wife Deborah; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 14 from 10:30 – 11:00 am at St. Dominics Catholic Church. A funeral mass will follow.
