Lewis Evan Quinn, Sr. of Charlotte, NC passed away at Lake Wylie Senior Living at Ease on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
“Lew” was born on August 7, 1936, in Gastonia, NC. He was the son of the late Evan Thomas Quinn and Daisy Sipe Locke and beloved husband to the late Regina Passmore Quinn.
Lew is survived by his children and their spouses, Tony Quinn (Angie) of York, SC, Renee Payton (Kevin) of Macon, GA, Lewis Quinn, Jr. (Holly) of Charlotte, NC, and Kathryn Wall (Joe) of Charlotte, NC as well as twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by daughter Roxanne Quinn, son Kenneth Montgomery and grandson Austin Montgomery.
Lew grew up on Lake Wylie, or as he called it, “The River” and was an avid water skier and boater. He and Gina loved to dance the Carolina Shag and were always the first ones on the dance floor. He also enjoyed coaching Pop Warner sports, playing softball, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. His memory will live on through the many stories he shared.
A private service will be held in the Spring of 2025.
