Wade A. Adams, Sr.
March 19th, 1924 - January 20th, 2025
Wade A. Adams, Sr., of Venice, Florida and Dartmouth, MA, passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 100. He was born in La Place, Illinois on March 19, 1924 to Cloyd and Carrie Adams.
Wade worked for Nabisco for 28 years as a plant manager for Millbrook Bread and commercial baker and also was the plant manager for Sunbeam Bakery makers of Sunbeam Bread for 30 years. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force and served as a bombardier on B29’s during World War II. Wade was a member of the Venice Golf & Country Club where he served on numerous committees there.
He is survived by his son, Wade “Allen” Adams, Jr. and his wife, Athena Adams. Two grandchildren, Wade Adams, III, Alyson Adams Nowassa and three great-grandchildren, Weston Adams, Ethan Nowassa and Keira Nowassa. Wade was preceded in death by his two wives, Dorothy Tyson whom he was married to for 21 years and Eva Jane Adams of 55 years. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Adams.
