In Loving Memory
Bill Dowell, 90, husband of Barbara Mallett Dowell, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025. He was born in Harlan, Kentucky on July 23, 1934 to the late Dorothy Hobbs and Ivan Dowell. Bill was the owner of Hartston, where he worked as a contractor. He made friends with those he did work for and was loved by everyone who knew him.
Besides his wife Barbara, those left to cherish his memory includes his daughter, Crystal (Norman) Smith; sister, Carol Limbaugh; grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Rebecca (Kellin) Vellenoweth; and great grandson, Declan Vellenoweth and many nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Jack Dowell.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 1pm, at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, followed by a gathering of family and friends until 3pm.
