Anthony Aramini, 83, died December 16th at home with his wife of 47 years at his side and under the compassionate care of Hospice of Havasu. He was born in upstate New York to Antonio and Helen Aramini, and was nicknamed “Pudge” even though he was never chunky as a child. Proudly, he enlisted in the Marines and fought during the Vietnam War.

He worked in retail sales and became part owner of a furniture store in Washington, DC. After that, he worked in car sales. In his early 20’s, he married his first wife, Sandra Welborn, with whom he had two beautiful daughters, Annette and Andrea. In 1977, he remarried and had a son, Marc Anthony.

Pudge loved sports and played all of them, but enjoyed boxing, wrestling, and martial arts the most. He preferred watching college rather than professional football, and favored The Fighting Irish, Notre Dame over all of them.  He was a proud man, in demeanor and appearance, very protective and ready to defend anyone and anything that he loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Christina and his ex-wife, Sandra. He is survived by his wife Alexis, his brother Charles (Diane), and his children:  Annette,  Andrea (Matty) and Marc (Tetyana). He leaves behind his grandchildren: Kavan(Alexandra), Kaitlyn, Ashleigh, Matthew, Yan, and Demyan.  In addition, his great grandchildren number six, and he is also survived by his best friend Bobby.  His surviving nieces are Antoinette, Karen, Jamie, Jennifer, Cathie Michelle, and Emily. His nephews are Jeff, Jaime, Alex and David.

We will remember him as the “Old Grump” with the heart of gold, who shed tears when the SPCA, Wounded Warriors, or St Jude Hospital commercials aired.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on February 15, 2025 at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 1975 Daytona Ave.  Lake Havasu City,AZ.  Rosary at 10:30, Mass at 11:00.  Reception immediately following at Saint Joseph Hall.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597,LHC,AZ  86405.
