It is with great sadness our mother, Linda K. Potts Slattery passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the age of 77.

Linda was born on April 11, 1947, in Billings, Montana to Harold E. Potts and Esther Dumler Potts.

Linda grew up and attended school in Custer and Hardin, MT.  She was married to Dennis C. Slattery. They later divorced.

Each year, she looked forward to filling her backyard with an array of colorful, beautiful flowers. Linda's love for others was expressed through her cooking and baking talents, and many will remember her for her delicious fried chicken and beloved waffle cookies.

She embraced life and was able to  fulfill many of her bucket list dreams. These included traveling to Ireland with her daughters Lisa and Ivy, experiencing two hot air balloon rides with Ivy, celebrating her 50th birthday with Lori in New York City, sharing a cherished outing to Ingomar with her son Rich, and most recently, visiting a working cranberry bog on the Oregon coast.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Dillon Welch.  She is survived by her children: Lori and Armando Valdez, Lisa Slattery (Michael Gebhardt), Ivy Slattery (Todd Tewalt) Rich and Jessica Welch; grandchildren: Shayna Welch, Sophie Bennett, Erica Pitsch, Kenadi Eiler, Madison Eiler, Olivia Eiler and Jack Valdez and Julia Valdez; great-grandson, Mason Plotner

Per her wishes cremation has taken place and no service is planned. Her children will have a private interment in Custer Cemetery in Custer, Montana.

We Entrusted Linda Slattery's Care To

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
